Sid received the honour of Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2025 for his outstanding contributions to the automotive and transport industry, particularly for his pioneering work in the development of zero-emission commercial vehicles. Sid holds a range of commendable social impact and equal opportunity values at the heart of everything he does.

Sid's career has grown impressively over many years, leading to his role today as the Founder and Chairman of Electra Commercial Vehicles in Yorkshire, and the founder and Chairman of NRG Fleet Services, and other associated companies. In addition, Sid is the chairman of eStar - the home for Mercedes-Benz Vans and Trucks. eStar has five dealerships across the North-West and North Wales.

Sid is also a Fellow of the SOE-IRTE and CILTUK and a board member of PACTS, and devotes time to these professional organisations to promote the industry and encourage young members to take part in growing these organisations.
